But let’s be honest, as much as we love them, they sometimes need a little extra to take them from side dish to star of the plate. Introducing Gourmet Granny’s Creamy Garlic Sauce comes in.
This silky, garlicky drizzle is the ultimate upgrade for freshly grilled veggies—rich, smooth, and packed with comforting homestyle flavour. Whether you’re firing up the BBQ for a family feast or just throwing together a quick weeknight dinner, this recipe is effortless, delicious, and guaranteed to impress.
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into large pieces
1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into large pieces
1 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds
1 red onion, cut into wedges
1 cup button mushrooms, cleaned
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 sachet of Gourmet Granny's Creamy Garlic Sauce Mix
250ml water
Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Prepare the Vegetables:
In a large bowl, combine the bell peppers, zucchini, red onion, and mushrooms. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
Grill the Vegetables:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Place the vegetables on the grill, using a grill basket if desired to prevent smaller pieces from falling through.
Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and have nice grill marks.
Prepare the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
While the vegetables are grilling, prepare Gourmet Granny's Creamy Garlic Sauce according to the package instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the sauce mix with 250ml of water.
Whisk continuously over medium heat until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
Serve:
Arrange the grilled vegetables on a serving platter.
Drizzle the warm Creamy Garlic Sauce over the top.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
For an extra burst of flavour, marinate the vegetables in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and your favourite herbs for 30 minutes before grilling.
